These are browser-based tools, not downloadable desktop software or an offline spreadsheet calculator. No account is required. Find a baseline web design hourly rate, build a fixed website quote or plan a monthly retainer. The downloads are result summaries; they do not contain working calculator formulas.

Choose what belongs in the client summary

Each result starts checked. Uncheck internal calculations you do not want to share, including unwanted items in Detailed breakdown. Edit the checked titles and values to match your intended offer. PDF, Excel and Copy Results read the same current result selection. They do not add form inputs, history, this article or FAQ text.

PDF, Excel or plain text?

PDF is a page-based visual summary. Long titles and values wrap and can continue across pages; the text is rendered as images to preserve arbitrary characters. Excel is a native .xlsx workbook with a title column and a displayed-value column. Values are deliberately stored as text to preserve currency symbols and units and prevent an edited value from running as a spreadsheet formula. Copy Results gives title: value lines.

Keep recalculation separate from final editing

A changed input, preset or restored history recalculates checked rows and resets their original titles. Unchecked rows keep their edits until you choose to include them again. Reset returns all titles, placeholders and checkboxes to defaults, but keeps the six-entry session history. Do not treat an edited quote as an independently verified calculation.

Storage and privacy

Drafts, inputs, result edits and calculation histories are stored in this tab's sessionStorage, not an account or server database. Refreshing preserves the session. Closing the tab ends it, although browser session restoration can bring data back. PDF and Excel generation happens in your browser using locally hosted libraries. Build the quote before you download it

A result summary is not a complete contract, invoice or guaranteed market price. Use the web design pricing walkthrough for a project, or follow the monthly care order example. Then return to the relevant tool and export the checked results you have reviewed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download the calculator itself as an Excel template?

No. Export Excel creates a workbook of your selected current results, without calculator formulas. The calculator runs in the browser.

Do unselected results appear in downloads?

No. Only checked results are exported, including checked items in the collapsed breakdown. Inputs, history and article content are excluded.

Why are amounts stored as text in Excel?

To preserve the exact displayed currency and units, including edits, and to keep user-entered formula-like text from executing.
